Our manger scene |
Thanks be to God for his
unspeakable gift. 2 Corinthians 9:15 (NKJV)
“But this is my favorite Christmas decoration of all,” she
wrote about her manger scene.
A tiny figure of baby Jesus surrounded by figurines of Mary,
Joseph, shepherds, and magi represent the greatest story ever told.
And
the angel said unto them, Fear not for, behold, I bring you good tidings of
great joy, which shall be to all people.
For
unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the
Lord. Luke 2:10-11 (KJV)
We also like to decorate with evergreen trees and wreaths . To me, the evergreen represents eternal
life. (John 11:25-26)
And all the beautiful lights,
to
dispel the darkness, like Jesus does, and as he asks us
to do.
Then
spoke Jesus again to them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in
darkness, but shall have the light of life.
John 8:12
Indeed, Jesus is the best gift of all, the reason we
decorate and celebrate His birth. I hope
these symbols and decorations will bring joy to you and your family this holiday season and remind
you of God’s promises.

Love the nativity scene - I have a small collection of them and that's what we do instead of a tree at Christmas. I am also a "book in my hands" kind of gal and publisher writer too! Blessings.
ReplyDeleteThank you Janis and Mary Jo! I'm delighted to see you here. Thanks for participating.
ReplyDeleteWould absolutely LOVE to have a signed copy for my collection! There's just something about an actual physical book. Love flipping the pages and all! Ebooks are good, but those books in hand are even more special. Love that Nativity scene, too! How precious! ;-] Add me to your drawing, please! shelley@where2.org
